We offer a variety of other amenities to make you experience at Shockwave falls more comfortable and stress-free!

Visas

 

We are pleased to announce that the KAZA Uni-Visa ( a Government to Government agreement between Zimbabwe and Zambia) has been re-instated effective 1st JANUARY 2017.

The Uni-Visa will allow tourists who qualify (please refer to the table below) to travel freely
between Zimbabwe and Zambia, within a 30 day period from the date of their first entry.
This same Visa will also allow those who go out to visit Botswana for a day trip come back
into either countries without paying for any extra visa fees. Visa cost $50


 
NB: NO Yellow Fever Certificate its needed any more if you on transit through South Africa in case you intend to go to Livingstone Zambia

What To Bring

 

Recomended River Fashion:
A pair of Chacos or similar sandals.
2 pairs of River shorts or swimming costumes -
Long sleeved business shirt or lycra layer to wear under your life jacket.
A baseball cap for under the helmet to keep sun off –
Wide brimmed sunhat –
Sunglasses.
Nalgene or similar water bottle –
Thermal Top. Medium weight - Heavyweight Capilene or polypropylene is the best.

(This is only necessary for cooler months)
Waterproof sunscreen and lip balm SPF15 minimum.

 

For evenings and around camp & overnights
Lightweight long trousers
Lightweight long sleeved shirts
Fleece jacket – it can be cool in the morning and evenings
T-shirts and shorts for around camp.
Underwear.
Glasses or Contact lenses. Disposable lenses are ideal.
Toiletries. Toothbrush, toothpaste, biodegradable soap and shampoo.
Forget the cosmetics and hair dryer! But we do suggest moisturiser
Hand wipes and a small bottle of hand sanitiser.
Small pack towel.
Headlamp or head torch with spare batteries
Shoes or boots for wearing around camp.
Insect Repellent.
Any medication you may be taking.

 

Optional Items
Your favourite book or a journal for recording your river memories.
Sketchpad.
Photographic or video equipment.

(We recommend a cleaning kit as sand gets everywhere)
Bring a spare memory card or plenty of film.
Waterproof GoPro camera for the "action" on the raft shots.
Swiss Army Knife or Leatherman.
An iPod or other music preferences.
Binoculars
